On June 10, 1inch Labs announced the upgrade of its price route discovery algorithm named “Pathfinder”. The decentralized exchange aggregator claims that this upgrade can reduce trading delays and provide users and integrators with up to 6.5% better swap rates.
The new algorithm consolidates specific swap steps and maximizes the use of concentrated liquidity, improving gas cost – efficiency. A 1inch representative said that they hope the improvement in gas efficiency can reduce the entry barrier for retail investors, encourage more frequent use, and build trust in DeFi platforms, making DeFi more accessible.
In addition, the decentralized application (dapp) of 1inch now also shows users enhanced visualizations, providing insights into tokens and transaction execution. Sergej Kunz, the co – founder of 1inch, claims that the update “allows users and integrators to maximize the value of each trade” and reduce gas costs.
It is understood that the development cycle of Pathfinder is about six months. It will be first launched on the chains supported by 1inch that are compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, and may be extended to the Solana chain later.
