Bitget Wallet has launched a new in-app marketplace, “Shop With Crypto,” allowing users to make crypto payments directly at over 300 global merchants. The new service, announced through a press release, provides users with a seamless crypto payment experience directly within the wallet app.
A New Way to Shop with Crypto
The “Shop With Crypto” feature gives users the ability to browse and shop from more than 300 merchants spanning various industries, including gaming, e-commerce, digital wallet top-ups, mobile recharges, travel, and more. Users can access this service by visiting the “Discovery Tab” in the Bitget Wallet app.
Once inside, purchases can be made using the user’s crypto wallet balance, eliminating the need to convert cryptocurrency into fiat currency. After a purchase, users receive redemption instructions via email to complete their transactions.
The list of participating merchants includes well-known global brands like Amazon, Walmart, Google Play, Steam, Shopee, Tmall, JD.com, and many others.
Exclusive Discounts on Gaming and More
One of the standout features of “Shop With Crypto” is the partnership with Dotmart, a web3-native superstore. This collaboration allows users to purchase in-game credits for popular titles like PUBG Mobile, Free Fire MAX, and Mobile Legends at a 30% discount compared to traditional in-game purchases.
Alvin Kan, COO of Bitget Wallet, highlighted the future expansion plans for the service. He stated, “We aim to expand our merchant offerings to include lifestyle subscriptions, additional travel options, and a broader range of brands. Our goal is to provide users with a simple, secure, and seamless experience that bridges digital assets with everyday spending.”
Partnerships and Future Growth
In addition to the new marketplace, Bitget Wallet has also partnered with Paydify, a crypto payment service, to enable stablecoin payments. This collaboration will allow merchants to accept stablecoin payments directly through Paydify’s platform, aiming to integrate with 10,000 global merchants in the near future.
Bitget Wallet’s latest development marks a significant step in the growing adoption of cryptocurrencies in everyday commerce, providing users with more opportunities to use their digital assets for daily transactions.
