YGG Launches Its First Game: On May 23rd, as reported by Decrypt, Yield Guild Games (YGG) announced the establishment of its game – development division, YGG Play, and launched its first “casual – speculation” crypto – native game, LOL Land. Developed on the Abstract Chain of Pudgy Penguins, the game has received over 100,000 pre – registrations. It integrates the IP characters of Pudgy Penguins and offers two modes: a free – play mode without token rewards and a paid – play mode where players can purchase game rounds to win YGG tokens from a $10 – million prize pool.
‘Off The Grid’ Launches on Consoles: On May 16th, the game studio Gunzilla Games launched its cyberpunk – themed AAA – class battle – royale game Off The Grid for early access on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Epic Games Store. It is the first game with on – chain functionality on PlayStation and Xbox platforms. Based on Gunzilla Games’ self – developed Avalanche L1 “GUNZ” blockchain, the game allows players to optionally mint rare weapons and items into NFTs for trading and selling. The game’s economy is built on the GUN token, which is yet to be launched on Avalanche.
