Golden Finance reports that according to official information, GoPlus Security has issued a security alert. Recently, new phishing attacks targeting the EIP-7702 smart account have emerged again on the Ethereum mainnet, BNB Chain and Base chain.
In just three days since its launch, thousands of addresses have been affected, resulting in losses of over 10,000 US dollars in crypto assets. An attacker uses an address for authorization phishing. Once a user authorizes, this address can automatically transfer away the BNB or other tokens subsequently transferred by the user.
The GoPlus security team reminds users: Do not transfer funds or authorize to unfamiliar addresses. The current 7702 scam is conducting large-scale phishing attacks by using historically leaked private key addresses. Be highly vigilant.
