Golden Finance News: According to Cointelegraph, Societe Generale – Forge, the crypto subsidiary of Societe Generale, issued an announcement on June 10th, announcing the launch of a new stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, USDCoin Vertible (USDCV). This stablecoin will be issued on the two major blockchains, Ethereum and Solana, and the British financial services company BNY will take on the responsibility of custody of the assets behind this stablecoin.
This is not the first attempt by Societe Generale – Forge in the field of stablecoins. As early as April 2023, the company launched the Euro-pegged stablecoin EURCoin Vertible (EURCV), which was mainly issued to institutional clients at that time.
The launch of USDCV this time represents a further expansion of the company’s stablecoin business, aiming to provide the market with more diversified stablecoin options. It also demonstrates Societe Generale’s active layout and continuous exploration in the cryptocurrency field. This move is expected to draw new attention and competition in the stablecoin market, bringing new opportunities for the integration of cryptocurrencies and traditional finance.
