In a significant development for the Web3 landscape, Sui, a leading Layer 1 blockchain platform, has inaugurated its first SuiHub in Dubai in partnership with the Ghaf Group, a prominent blockchain ally in the MENA region. Situated in Expo City Dubai, this hub is designed to equip Web3 startup founders with vital resources, technical assistance, and workshops.
Dubai was selected as the location for this initiative due to its dynamic tech ecosystem and strong commitment to blockchain innovation. The SuiHub aims to provide local entrepreneurs with access to funding, expert guidance, and community events, empowering them to build decentralized applications leveraging Sui’s robust infrastructure.
Kostas Chalkias, Co-Founder of Mysten Labs, remarked that Dubai’s favorable regulatory environment makes it an optimal site for the inaugural SuiHub. “Our goal is to empower local and regional developers to create decentralized applications that will have a global impact,” he stated.
Feras Al Sadek, Co-Founder of Ghaf Group, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting it as a pivotal moment for their venture studio. Kristof Lukovich, CEO of SuiHub, emphasized the importance of collaboration, highlighting that the hub will create synergies among talent, technology, and investment.
“The establishment of this innovative resource for local builders and entrepreneurs signifies a key milestone in the evolution of Ghaf’s venture studio arm,” Al Sadek added.
Additionally, the SuiHub will play a vital role in the forthcoming Q4 accelerator program, aimed at nurturing promising startups. With a solid network of partners and previous initiatives such as the AUS-Sui Blockchain Academy, Sui is dedicated to fostering a vibrant ecosystem for blockchain developers in the region.
