Claims that Binance’s Google Play rating has plummeted to 1.5 stars due to negative reviews from Pi Network supporters are entirely false. The cryptocurrency exchange, which remains the largest in the world, has faced criticism from Pi enthusiasts after it conducted a poll asking users if Pi should be listed on the platform. Many members of the Pi community, known as “Pioneers,” participated, hoping for a positive outcome. However, the lack of updates from Binance on the matter has caused frustration within the Pi Network community.
Despite viral rumors circulating on social media, Binance’s actual Google Play rating remains at a solid 4.2 stars. While some Pi supporters may have left negative feedback, these actions have not led to a significant drop in the exchange’s overall rating. In fact, although Binance’s rating on the App Store has slightly decreased from 4.8 to 4.2 stars, the alleged sharp decline to 1.5 stars is simply not true.
Pi Network advocates feel betrayed by Binance, suspecting that the poll was more about generating social media engagement than genuinely considering Pi for listing. One Pi supporter vented on X (formerly Twitter), lamenting, “Pi is angry because Binance did not list Pi despite the poll, leading to a series of angry Pi users giving 1-star ratings.”
However, many critics in the broader crypto community have dismissed this approach, emphasizing that manipulating ratings will not compel Binance to list Pi. Some have also speculated that Pi holders who bought the coin on third-party platforms are fueling this campaign to boost Pi’s perceived value.
At this time, Binance has not commented on the situation. However, given its prominent role in the cryptocurrency sector, it is unlikely that review manipulation alone will influence the exchange’s decision-making process.
To clarify, the reports of Binance’s rating dropping to 1.5 stars are completely unfounded. The exchange maintains a strong 4.3-star rating on Google Play, with false claims about its rating being propagated by disgruntled members of the Pi Network.
