Golden Finance News: South Korea’s well-known cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb has issued an official announcement. To ensure the stability of its recharge and withdrawal services and in line with the upgrade of the SEI network (mainnet), Bithumb will start operating from 5:00 p.m. Beijing time on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Suspend the recharge and withdrawal services of SEI.
This service suspension is aimed at ensuring the asset security and trading experience of users during the network upgrade. During the upgrade process of the SEI network, if the deposit and withdrawal services continue to be open, there may be transaction failures, fund losses or other abnormal situations due to network instability. Bithumb has also made multiple adjustments to the deposit and withdrawal services of related cryptocurrencies in the past due to various blockchain network upgrades, maintenance or security considerations. For instance, on February 5th of this year, UPbit suspended the recharge and withdrawal services of SEI at 18:00 Korean time due to the SEI network upgrade until the upgrade was completed and the network operated stably.
Bithumb stated that once the upgrade of the SEI network (mainnet) is successfully completed and the network status is stable, it will resume the recharge and withdrawal services of SEI as soon as possible. At that time, Bithumb will promptly issue recovery notifications to users through official channels. During this period, it is recommended that users holding SEI closely follow the official announcements of Bithumb, plan their asset operations reasonably, and avoid inconvenience or losses caused by the suspension of deposit and withdrawal services.
